Draft Masterplan
Explore the Future of Lennox Park
After several months of research and meaningful community involvement, we’re excited to share the draft concept for the future of Lennox Park and Cloak Oval.
We invite you to explore the proposed design and share your feedback to help us fine-tune the vision and ensure it reflects the needs and aspirations of the Old Beach community.
Master Plan Delivery: Two Stages
Stage 1 – Short-term Upgrades
Focused on delivering enhancements that respond to current community needs. This includes improvements to park facilities and connectivity. Cloak Oval will remain unchanged during this stage.
Stage 2 – Long-Term Vision (10+ Years)
Explores the potential for commercial development on Cloak Oval, such as a local supermarket (e.g., IGA or Hill Street), to meet growing shopping needs and support the evolving community.

Quick Poll
Do you support the two-stage approach to delivering the Master Plan?
Stage 1 - Short-term upgrades to Lennox Park
Stage 2 - Long-term vision (10+ years)
As part of the Lennox Park Master Plan, Stage 2 outlines a bold and exciting vision for the Cloak Oval's future — designed to be delivered over the next 10+ years as the community grows and new opportunities emerge. It will bring more vibrancy to the living Old Beach.
This stage includes:
- Redesigning the existing oval into a flexible open space with a junior soccer pitch, native gardens, BBQ areas, and seating nooks.
- A loop trail connecting the oval to adjacent parkland, encouraging walking, running, and cycling.
- A proposed small commercial precinct near Jetty Road, which could include a café, grocer, or other local services to enhance community life and convenience.
Stage 2 will be built on the success of earlier upgrades and aims to transform Lennox Park into a vibrant, multi-use destination for all ages — blending recreation, nature, and community connection.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on this long-term vision. Your feedback will help shape how and when these ideas are delivered.
