Community Consultation

Brighton Council partnered with Playstreet to lead community consultation for the development of Tivoli Green. The goal was to actively listen to local residents, community groups, and site users, and gather ideas and aspirations for the future of this important public space.

To ensure meaningful engagement, Council identified key stakeholders and user groups and worked closely with Playstreet to develop a targeted strategy and effective communication materials. This collaborative approach resulted in a variety of consultation activities designed to reach a broad audience.

While the online survey (open from 28 April to 19 May) received a solid response, attendance at the co-design day was limited—likely due to the wintery, blustery weather conditions!

Despite this, the consultation revealed clear community priorities, which have shaped three key design directions. For detail summary, please refer to the Consultation Report below.
